strike were officially called off. After many negotiations and much effort Mr. Mulholland submitted a proposition to have the*strike officially called off and end it if We Would have Orr and Wise released from the penitentiary and dismiss the bond case and ail others cases pending against tlie strikers. After another conference with citizens including the General Manager of the M. N. A., in which it was freely discussed that we were not seeking blood money from the unions but were striving for a principle, it was decided to accept the proposition and thereby bring this most disastrous strike to a close. The settlement Was made in accordance with these terms and nothing but the $500 in costs was ever paid. Any statement to the contrary is absolutely false and any citizen may verify this statement by communicating with Mr. Frank L. Mulholjand of Toledo, Ohio, who represented the unions and effected the settlement.KARL GREENHAW,Prosecuting AttorneyW. J. COTTON.Circuit Clerk.
