Robert Powers and Benjamin McDonald « ere arrested in Union City yesterday by Chief Hoeford. It is alleged that they disturbed the peace of the neighbor, hood by using abusive language. It is also said that Powers assaulted George Ackerman and that McDonald assaulted William Lassard. When the cases were called Powers requested an adjournment saying that he wanted to secure theservices of Attorney Kennedy. Prosecuting Attorney Sweeney objected to an adjournment on the ground fchar Powers hud made an attempt to Bettle his case.Judvte Hungerford remarked that Powers was entitled to a chance to engage on attorney and his honor put the case over until next Monday and fixed bonds at #50.McDonald also asked that his case might oe adjourned until Monday.
