FAR FROM HOME.Death of* L. Van Camp, a Traveling Man, at Mercy Hospital.L. Van •Ca'inp, a travel log salesman, died this morning at 7 o'clock at Mercy hospital. He had been afflicted for several years with cancer of the liver, and while it this city he was attacked last week with a very severe turn of his disease and went to the haspital for treatment.It appears that he knew, before going to the hospital, that he would never get up again. He wrote to the firm for which he traveled, D. Appleton . Co., of New York, asking them to buy a grave and bury him decently. They replied trying to Cheer him up, and promising to do everything in their power for him.Van Oaiop was attended in bis last illness by Dr. Dixon. One .of his friends, Mr. Olinger, a traveling man who visited him during his illness, has been telegraphed at Keokuk by Undertaker Prugh, and will attend the funeral, which will be held in this city tomorrow afternoon by order of D. Appleton Co., no relatives of Van Camp being known or heard of.
