Leonard, of the Chamber of Commerce, went to Bedford today to attend a joint meeting this afternoon of the Bedford and Bloomington Chambers of Commerce, the retail merchants’ associations, Bedford Stone Clnb, and a labor committee to confer concerning labor and housing conditions in the two towns.790 ACRES; $238,000mLafayette, Ind., August 18.—One of the largest real estate transfers here in many years was negotiated today, when Charles Van Vorst, a banker and farmer, of % Chalmers, bought a farm of 700 acres in White county from John Ross, of this city.
