APPREHENDEDIiDeputy Sheriff RoyceCline’s Murderer AtHarrisburg Surrendered By Father—ArrestAnnounced At Funeral.IIHARRISBURG, ILL., August 16.Isaiah “Zebe” Taborn, negroslayer of Deputy Sheriff RoycetCline, has been captured by SheriffJohn Small of Saline county andis now being taken to a neighbor-ing county for safekeeping. MobIviolence is feared here.The capture of Taborn ended asixty-hour hunt for the murderer.He crept up on Cline and Deputy Silas Rude in a dense thicket nearCarrier Mills, seven miles southof here, Friday morning and emptied the full charge of a shotgun lin Cline’s face. Cline died in a1local hospital throe hours later.Hundreds in Possej Since then Saline County hasbeen combed by hundreds of ofll-cers and volunteers. W. H. Whitlock,that the negro was then in custody.The crowd was the largest thatever attended a funeral in thiscounty. Masons had charge, butklansmen from Saline. Williamson. Hamilton, Franklin, Gallatinand White counties were present.Rev. Whitlock said: “I desire toinform you that the slayer of thisbrave officer, who we are now put-ting in his last resting place, is in the hands of the law. Sheriff Smalldesires me to ask everybody togive him co-operation in keepingorder and to let the law take itscourse in this affair.”The body of Cline was buried in the Masonic Cemetery at Raleigh.
