While the father did treat the girl in a shameful manner, her injuries were never at any time any way dangerous.An Eaton physician who was called j to see the girl immediately after the j ill treatment fron her father said that when he arrived at the house the girl was having all kinds of convulsions, biting her hands, and going on at an awful rate. He made a thorough examination of the girl and could find nothing that would cause her to act in the manner she was. The physician then asked every t ody to leave the room. After all th-5 people had gone out of the room the physician turned to the girl and asked her if she did not think she could be well by morning. The girl saw that the physician was next to her case, and she only smiled and answered that she thought she could.Afterwards the girl thinking that she could carry on her hysterics to a good advantage and not wanting to face the Eaton physician after he had told her there was nothing the matter with her and she had acknowledged it, she sent for a Hartford City physician. The Hartford City doctor was the one she was looking for as iie gave as his opinion that the girl was in a very critical condition and that recovery was very doubtful.Why she wants to act that away is a mystery unless it is for newspaper notoriety.
