Lucy Hicks was fined $100 with the alternative of 50 days in the Ventura County jail by JudgeE. G. Driffill Tuesday afternoonas result of being found guilty of violating her probation.She was placed on two yearsprobation October 1938 for conducting a disorderly house. Recently a girl was arrested who was occupying one of her houses and who later pleaded guilty, thus causing violation of Mrs. Hicks’probation.[ Attorney E. C. Maxwell rep-i resented Mrs. Hicks while Deputy District Attorney Hal Hammons, Jr., represented the People. In addition to the fine, Judge Driffill placed Mrs. Hicks on a another year’s probation.
