FINED $5.00CROWN POINT, Ind., Aug. 16.— Roy Marks, driver of the motor boat at Cedar Lakwas fined $5.00 and costs amounting to $10.70 in Justice Harvey Minos* court on Friday for exceeding the speed limit prescribed by the state of Indiana in the operation of a motor boat.Marks, twenty two years of age was pilot of the boat on which Miss Voilet Lockwood of Chicago was riding when the propeller of the boat cut off her left leg above the knee on August 3. Miss Lockwood fel from the craft as it rounded a curve, her limb being severed by the propellor of the craft.Marks is under bond of $5,000 pend ing the outcome of Miss Lockwood's injury. She is regarded as recovering nicely at Mercy hospital in Garywhere she was taken following theaccident.
