WOMAN CHALLENGESMAN TO FIST FIGHTChicago, Aug. 14.—Mrs. Maude Lockhart, 621 West Seventy-eighth st„ believes a woman has the right to challenge a man to fistic combat when he makes remarks which arouse her ire She explained her attitude on flighting when she went on the witness stand in th° Englewood Municipal court.Mrs. Lockhart said she challengedJohn Powell. 619 West Seventy-eighth St., to fight when Powell, she asserted, made an uncomplimentary remark about Mrs. Blanche Gittings, who lives in her home.“And would you have whipped him?” asked Judge Clarity.“I would,” replied Mrs. Lockhart.Powell was charged $1 and costs ona charge of talking too freely.
