Talladega News-Reporter: Circuit court convened Tuesday and baa been busy this week grinding ont sentences. The negro bam Baglay, charged with an attempt on the person of a Man ford lady, was promptly given the full limit of the law—twenty years—and the jury said their only regret was that the law did not make the case a capital one, for they were ready to give it. They were out only five minutes. Olivor Uroce, who stole the boy’s watcb, as reported in these columus, and who was guilty of other crimes, baa been tried on three indictments so far and convicted under each, with others awaiting. Other cases, oue of which Is untit for publication, are also in progress as we go to press.
