Allard ordered an investigation after an autopsy showed the child suffered multiple fractures, bruises and abrasions “not compatible with a fall.’*The parents bad claimed the child fell from a bed. Mrs. Ferrell admitted being alone in the house with the child when he died, denied beating him. died but denied beating him,when he suffered a fractured skull in a fall from a high chair in 1959, and a daughter, Tamara. 2Vt, is a patient in Portsmouth General Hospital with a leg fracture reportedly sustained in afall from a porch.
