6-Day Search for Ewen Child Futile; Mystery DeepensKvvnn, Mich., Aug. 14 (/P)The mystery of what happened totwo-year-old Lloyd Wesmati. who disappeared last Wednesday fromthe home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Wesman, remained tin-solved today aftor six days of fruitless searching by sheriff's officers and volunteers.Mrs. Wesman told Sheriff J. The collie dog. with which he had been playing, still was in the yard,greatly excited.During Mrs. Wesman’s obsonoe, she said, an automobile drove along tin* road that leads past the house, then turned around andleft.Whether that automobile carried the hoy awav, whether lie wandered into the heavy woods nearby, or whatever else might have happened remained a mystery.Fifty men have searched boththe woods and the cleared areas for a considerable distance around the Wesman home. None of these effort* has yielded a clue to the whereabouts of the hoy.One theory that has been advanced is that the child was killed accidentally by the automobile, and that the occupants carried the body away to avoid blame.No evidence has been uncovered. however, to support that or any other theory.»*■**- • —
