Burglars Hit Twice In CityBurglars were active in Dunkim overnight, hitting the Garden Gate Nursery and the Dom Polski Club,Manager David Baumgartner reported the entry at the nursery, 729 Eagle St., Dunkirk, at 8:17 a.m. today. Entry to the building was gained by breaking a 9 by 27-inch pane oi glass in a west side window. All of the drawers in the nursery’s workshop and rear office were ransacked, and an unsuccessful attempt was made to open a safewith an electric drill.Nothing apparently was taken in the break-in that occurred sometime after 12:15 a.m. today.A 12 by 12*inchsSouthside window at the Dom Polski Club, 179 Lake Shore Drive, E., Dunkirk, was smashed sometime after 1 a.m. today. Burglars entered the building and proceeded to pull out and empty every drawer they could find.Numerous liquor bottles behind the bar were smashed, and between $4-5 was taken. An inventory is continuing.
