Watkins, deputy sheriff, to join him that night with the thought in mind that something would happen. After midnight ,a noise was heard in the rear of the store and the two of-ficslfis operied fire. Watkins received a wound in the arm, but the robbers hurried away without injuries, entered car waiting at the foot of the hill and started toward Muskogee. Watkins And Dooleh started in pursuit, and six miles west of Hulbert stopped at the home of Frank Redman of Ray and got him out of bed.
