Birmingham, Ala., special, Aug. G: Near Spring Hill, Barbour county, about midnight, George Turner, a negro farm laborer, entered the bedroom of Miss Mary Robinson, daughter of his employer. She was aroused by the noise and screamed. Turner then attempted to choke her. Her father ran in from an adjoining room and Turner sprang out the window, through which he had entered, and fled. Before daylight a posse was organized, and the negro was run down a -ew m..es away and brought back to the scene of the crime, identified and promptly hanged to a tree in a neighboring swamp.
