Says DeathAuto TakenWithout OKJohn Loper. of Covert, told the Tribune yesterday evening that his car which was involved in the accident that killed Donald Selles, Monday evening, was not loaned to Edward Davis of Grand Junction, as was reported by State Police.State Police had reported thatLoper loaned the car to Davis at about 1:30 p.m. Monday. ButLoper said Davis, an employee of his, had no permission to take the car.Loper said if Davis was driving the car he would press charges. Loper had cancelled the insurance on his car several weeks ago.Davis along with RaymondGriffin, 17, of Chicago, one of the two hitchhikers in the car, are still in poor condition in Borges* Hospital in Kalamazoo where they were taken after the accident on CR 376 in Covert Township. Police have not yet determined whether the driver of the car was Selles or Davis.Ralph Ware. 14, of Covert, the other hitchhiker, is in fairly good condition in South Haven Community Hospital.
