In this season when rust is already in evidence it is fortunate that so many seed plots of this rust resistant wheat are in production to supply pure seed stocks for a general acreage inr crease in 1955.As far as it Is possible Selkirk wheat must be maintained true to variety. All off-types of wheat appearing in these seed plots, together with other kinds of grain, should be rogued out at the present time.With a portion of the 1953 crop still in the hands of producers the storage of Selkirk wheat in clean bins becomes a problem. Unless caution Is exercised the contamination of this pure seed with other types of grain, as well as weeds, can occur through the use of make-shift storage. -Farmers are therefore urged to prepare, well in advance of the harvest season, to meet the needs of storing their Selkirk wheal. by constructing new bins when necessary and possible, or thoroughly cleaning present storage facilities free of all grains and weed seeds, as well as repairing against rodent and moisture damage.An acre of forest means an # acre of wages!FOREST FOLKS KILL BOTH.DR.
