Sex offenderconvicted ofburglaryBy LINDELL KAY __L__________I Daily News StaffA convicted child sex offender was found guilty Friday of burglarizing the Sneads Ferry home of a teenage girl and surprising her while she slept.Seth J. Frazier, 28, was convicted by an Onslow County jury of first-degree burglary and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.N.C. Superior Court Judge Charles Henry sentenced Frazier to 8 to 10 years in prison, the maximum possible punishment under state law.During a week-long trial, Assistant District Attorney Bob Roupe showed evidence that Frazier broke into a home on Ollie Marine Road at 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 2. He then made his way to the bedroom of two girls who lived in the home and were asleep in their bunk beds.Frazier pulled the covers off of a 14-year-old girl who was sleeping in the bottom bunk. She woke up and asked Frazier who he was. He didn’t answer and she asked again, according to court records.“Shh...I’m leaving,” he told her, stood up and hurriedly left.The girl recognized Frazier as having been employed at one time at a business where she worked part time and numerous witnesses testified that Frazier sometimes stayed with a woman who lived a short distance from the house he had broken into.Onslow County Sheriff’s Sgt. Eric Bailey investigated the burglary. He learned that Frazier was known to be armed.On Oct. 18, Bailey and crime scene investigator Mitchell Gordon encountered the woman Frazier sometimes stayed with while at the Ollie Marine Road house.
