After warcningPolice Chief, Teen StruggleBUENA PARK — A Long Beach man apparently suffered a fatal heart attack Wednesday after watching a scuffle between Fullerton Police Chief Wayne Bornhoft and a teenage boy at Los Coyotes Country Club.Charles Robert Fullerton, 65, was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Jude Hospital in Fullerton about 10:15 a.m.The unidentified 16-year-old was charged with malicious mischief and assault and battery. He was released ' to his mother In Anaheim pending filing of petition for a hearing in Juvenile Court,Reports said Bornhoft and his threegolf partners, including Fullerton, saw a youth on a dirt motorcycle tearing up turf near the fourth green.BornhOft walked over to the boy, but when he tried to arrest him the two scuffled, The youth hit the chief in the face “several times in an attempt to escape police reports stated.Fullerton reportedly fell to the ground as he and the other golfers walked onto the green where Bornhoft had subdued the suspect and was - holding for police.Bornhoft had “visible marks” on his face, reports said; adding that the juvenile ‘was rubbing his arm” when he entered the police car.
