WOMAN CHARGES j CRIMINAL ASSAULTJames Reynolds, 24, 2316 Putnam j avenue, and Harry R. Barton, 25, 19 South Fifth street, West Terre Haute, were jailed Monday under $5,000 bonds while authorities areinvestigating the criminal assault charge brought against them by a 23-year-old Dresser woman.Saturday she told deputy sheriffs she was attacked by “an acquaintance” and another man whom she did not know after one of them had offered to give her a ride home from a West Terre Haute tavern.She said they held a knife at her throat.Justice of the Peace Lee Easton said he continued the case until Aug. 20 pending a complete investigation.
