BURGLARSPrivate Houses in Union Touched Por Considerable Money And Valuables.Burglars entered the residents of E. B. Watson and Nathan Dillon some time Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, securing about $50 or $00 and a gold watch. They gained entrance at both places by removing the screens from the rear windows. Mr. Watson is uncertain as to the amount of money taken of him, but thinks ho had something like $00 in his clothes at the time. Silverware etc. was not molested. Several rings and a valuable diamond stud were overlooked, which points to the fact that they were not professionals at the business. They took the. screen from a back window at Mr. Dillon’s house at the same time removing the screen on a front window to'make their escape incase of emergency.Edward’s trousers wore confistl-cated which contained $1.40. They were found Wednesday morning near the north switch. Nate had about $5 in nis pockets, as did Frank also which was not touched, but was handy and could have been taken with ease. They were undoubtedly scared away before completing their search. There is no clue to the robbers, but the general opinion is that It is the work of local talent, or at least someone who is new at the business.
