It’s nothingyou ever get over,” Hillsaid today.During the capital murder trial of David Wayne McKay, Hill said he often * felt the presence of Robert in the courtroom.McKay, a 24-year-old ex-convict, was sentenced to death Thursday for the March 4 murder. Although there were no witnesses to the murder, a former roommate of McKay’s testified McKay bragged about the shooting the next morning.Hill was found at an Irving construction site March 5. He was bound with telephone cord and shot in the head five times.McKay’s death date will probably be determined by officials of the Texas Department of corrections, the court clerk said.“There’s a great sense of relief to get it over with,” Hill said of the trial. “It was a strain to be there and hear the details of what had happened.”“I think the punishment is fair. In Genesis it says if you take a life you should be prepared to give your own,” Hill said. His sons’s death carried a double shock, Hill noted. Family members are still trying to adjust to the murder, as well as the sudden shock of the event.“(Shock) was the most severe blow, because you never think things likethis can occur in our society until they’re close to you. You see them on television, but it’s not like it’s real until it hits home,” he said. And this is hard because a parent loses his legacy when a child dies,” Hill added. He has since joined a local chapter of Parents of Murdered Children. The group is a national organization, specifically designed to meet the needs to bereaved parents of murder victims. Some kind of actions will result from Robert’sdeath, Hill said, but added his own emotions need clearing before he can begin the work.“Unfortunately I wish now I’d involved myself in this before, but I intend to move in a positive manner so that he won’t have died in vain,” said Hill.“If he had to die, then I feel like maybe it was to serve our society this way.”occurred.“This is something that goes all the way up our political system, and it’s something I intend to pursue. We hear year after year each politician promise to do something about crime, and when they get in office, it’s all just rhetoric,” Hill said.Particularly grating to Hill is testimony during the trial that McKay was in violation of a previous parole when the murderBut tempering those feelings are Hill’s memories of his son.“I’ll remember him as a friend and a loving person. He had a lot of friends, and he hasn’t lost any of them,” Hill said today.Contract bridgeThe Sa fety FactorSouth dealer North-South vulnerableNORTH♦ K 8lt;7 K 7 6 3 0 K 4 2contract bridge was introduced in 1925, comparatively little progress has been made in the play of the cards This is largely because, during the two or three centuries when I .1___ IThe obvious purpose of the deal was to test South’s knowledge of safety plays and to punish him if he failed to find the right play. There is a very good reason
