One gallon of alcohol was found in a car withLathrope at the corner of Ninth and Briggs streets. The automobile, it was staled, belonged to Emmet Schlarbaum, of this city .although Mr. Schlarbaum was not in the car. The machine was 8eized hy authorities and is being held. Latbrope waived preliminary hearing and was bound over to the grandjury. At the present .time he isin the Jefferson county jail and is waiting the arrival of appearance bonds.The arrest was made when Lathrope was starting up the car. He didn’t get started quite quick enough and the officers were able to catch him.
