Downtown Knox Ripped By ExplosionKNOX. Ind. lt;UPI)—Dynamite planted between two businesses in downtown Knox exploded early Sunday, causing an estimated |30,000 damage and sending police agencies on a widespread investigation today.No one was injured.Indiana State Police said the blast damaged a tavern owned by Wise Minnix, Hamlet, and the building which formerly boused an auto body shop owned by Edwrard Ronkowski, also of Hamlet.The explosion also caused some damage to a nearby Odd Fellows Lodge.Police said apparently six to 12 sticks of. dynamiate were planted between .the body shop building and the tavern, which was recently located there.The probe Of. the blast includes efforts, by U. S. Treasury agents, the state fire marshal’s office, state police and Knox and Starke County authorities.
