John Gnjnd Klippert was acquitted today by a Canadian field general court-martial of two of five charges laidagainst him in connection with riot ) ling by Canadian troops in Aldershoti last July 5. Two charges against the! Owen Sound, Ont., soldier of damaging private property wifre dismissed. Findings of the court on two charges or riotous damage and one of disobeying a lawful command are subject to confirmation and will be promulgated. JLt.-Col. R. M. Wynn of Calgary told the court he saw Ptc. Klippert break a shop window and said that when he asked him “what started him off,” the soldier replied: “f always wanted to break windows in Aldershot and 1 Ills) is as good a time ns any.” ■
