FIRES DESTROY CARS AND SMALL COTTAGESOUTH FALLSBURG — Two !a:ge automobiles and a small cottage were burned in two fires between dirk last night and daylight today. The first fire, apparently due Lo a short circuit in one of the cars, destroyed a $4 800 automobile owned by Adolph Mendel of Brooklyn, and another owned by Philip Schunricr, general manager of the Hotel Ma-jestice. where the fire occurred at nine-thirty p. rn. Schundcr’s car. parked beside Mendel's, caught fire from the latter.Efforts of firemen were of more avail against a blaze that destroyed an unoccupied cottage owned by Simon Dubin at four a. m. They saved the house which Dubin occupied and the house of Nathan Green on the other side of the cottage, both of which were ablaze momentarily. The cause of the cottage fire was not determined.
