! XXXi Grover Barton, a youth from Veale township, was fined $; and costs by ’Squire Kellams this morning for. trespassing 011 Louis Day’s land. It seems that young Barton recently formed the | habit of carrying a revolver and when i iiis father learned of this he gave the | boy a spanking. Tuesday he went to j the Day farm where the men were ! threshing and accused Mr. Day of telling his father that he carried the gun.( Day denied this and young Barton j called him a liar and pulled his revolver in a threatening manner Frank Barton, a brother, grabbed the bad boy from Bitter creek and prevented him from shooting. Mr. Day then came to town and filed the affidavit against Grover, with the result that the young man is now locked up in jail.
