The description says that Evans, when received, was 20 years ot age, 5 feet 11 inches tall, fair complexion, light blueeyes, light hair, native of Indiana, moderate in his habits, single, lar^e scar on leftol neck, Lrgc s:*ar on outside of neck, and another on outside of right arm above elbow. His relatives are put down as Sylvester Evans father, ami Noah Evans, a brother, both of Groveland, rutnald County.Evans did not appear to relish prison life, for he made repeated attempts to get away.
