Eamman’s body was brought back to Boonville Saturday and later taken to the home of his son George, near Millersburg. The funeral was held Monday afternoon, the burial taking place at the Cross Roads cemetery.The Hammans were maitied here about twelve years ago as the result of an advertisement placed by Ham-raan in a matrimonial publication. The woman came here from Michigan and gave her name as Miss Ellen Smith. Her mother, who accompanied her, died a few years later. The couple had no children and always \ived rather secluded.Hanunan was the father of ten children by two former wives, five of them having preceded him in death. He was a native of Campbell township, this county, where he owned a good farm. He was an' eccentric always and of late years had delusions that might be put down as signs of incipient insanity. He was past seventy years old, while his victim was a few years short of fifty.The married life of the Hammans was anything but a happy one from all accounts. Quarrels and an occasional fight marked their matrimonial voyage from its beginning to the final wrecking of it all.
