Th.jv attemp'ing to pulh open the door, the Farmer opened it, when ‘hey produccd a piftol and demanded his money. The Farmer went to his defkIand gave them fW pounds, and offered them liquor, Sec, As foon as they were gone, the Farmer and two men purfued them on horfelvck by another road, and met• hem at Whitehoufe doll. They made fone refiftance,and attempted to fire the piftol, which miffed fire—Oneof the men alP) fired a gun at them, which like wife miffed fire—They were then fecured, tied together, and brought to Edinburgh, a^d lodged in the Toibooth.
