Va., Aug. 7.—Alleging that Lute Gibson, a prominent Wirt county oil man, was the cause blher-doWn fall, accomplished through promises of marriage, Mias Edna- Co pen, a beautiful eighteen year old gill, and member of the prominent Wirt county family, yesterday filed a suit for $10,00 damages for alleged seduction and breach of promise in the Circuit Court of Wirt county.The allegations nre sensational in tho extreme. The girl says that Gibson has ben paying attention lo her for u long time and that ho made fre-flinnl avowals of his intectloruto marry her. He told her that he would mnke her his wife, and then betrayed her, she alleges.A few weeks ago she says she told Gibson that ho must merry her at inco and he consented.
