WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED that Variety Clubs International at its recent annual convention in Buffalo, N.Y, honored a former Pc cat el [an, Vince Anselmo with the second place award in the International Clubs’ Variety Week Press Campaign, Anselma is a member of the Last Vegas Variety Tcnb 09 of International Variety Clubs. Ansdmo's honor also rrtnrked the first time Tent 39 has won an award in the annual Variety Week press campaign, First place was won by Mexico City '1'cnt 29. Variety Week press books were submitted by most tents throughout the world. The second place award, a gold tic tack, was presented to the Vincc by Joe Wells, Tent 39’s chief barker, during a crew meeting at the tent’s dub quarters. Anselmo, the Thundcrbird Hotel's administrative director, has been press guy the last tsvo years. He was active in the newspaper field 17 years prior to joining the T-Bird in 1962 as director of publicityJ begining his newspaper career in Pocatello, Idaho.
