Hoover, Spivey. Calvin Sellars, 22, and John Oscar Young, 25. were indicted for robberv%rby firearms.WSpivey was granted immunity from prosecution alter testifying for the state. He testified he took part in the robbery and that it was planned by Hoover and that the Pasadena attorney gave directions by telephone while the robbery was in progress.A second count of the indictment charged Hoover with hern g an accomplice and he was convicted on this count. Sellars and Young will be tried later.Spivey was released from jail ihree hours after Hoover’s conviction and immediately left town.Both Mr. and Mrs. Schepps testified. Schepps said he was beaten unconscious. Mrs. Schepps said she was burned with a hot knife, shocked with an electric wire and shot.Schepps identified two diamonds at the trial and said he felt sure they were his.
