Henderson today. They also found some home-made win© in the rooms adjoining the grocery store. Vito told ' the commissioner that was used forfamily beverage purposes.Police believe they have discovered the distributing place for a gang of Rochester-Syracuse bootlegs. Mrs. Vito/ questioned at the time of the raid, said her husband had rented his garage to Rochester men whoso identity was unknown to them.Questioned by police officers in the commissioner's office this morning, Vito denied any knowledge of the operations of his garage renters and disclaimed any connection with their business enterprises.The 150 bottles found in the garage were wrapped and packed,ready for distribution.Neighbors say they have seen trucks loaded with crates like those found in the garage, taken from thegrocery store at frequent intervalsin the early morning. They believed them filled with vegetables.
