JAIL BREAKERSTO Si, S.Chandler and Coffinberry Bound Over With Bond of $5,000KANSAS CITY, KAS., Aug. 4,— CAP)—Elmer Chandler, of Galesburg, IIL and. Albert Coffinberry, of Kansas City, Kas., pleaded guilty today to interstate transportation of a motor car when arraigned today before a United States Commissioner and the£r bonds were set at 55,000.Police records show Coffinberry has served 13 months in the St. Charles, III., industrial school for car theft, and that Chandler served, two terms for motor theft in the Leavenworth federal penitentiary and served in the Colorado state penitentiary for burglary but escaped before his sentence was completed.Both men escaped recently from the Cole county jail in Jefferson ' I City, Mo. They were arrested near ‘ j here two days later.
