Lt. Bush Named Acting Captain at KensingtonLt. John H. Bush, veteran Kensington police officer, yesterday was named acting captain, succeeding Capt. Matthew Fmhllrh. 57. who has resigned from the force to move to Arizona for his health.Acting Capt. Bush was ln.tiated into his new role without delay when he spent all of Monday night supervising control of the crowds that witnessed the gigantic fire at Sherwin-Williams coal tar plant.Joining the force Nov. 11 1914, Bush was assigned to the Ken me-ton station as a patrolman on Dec 2. 1920. and rem lined heresince, with the exception of twice being detailed to other stations for a total period of eight months. He was promoted to sergeant July 1, 1922, and to lieutenant March 1. 1939
