All were lodged in the Fayette County jail*to await hearings today before Alderman John W. Dtfrby.Starting on the Coolaprlng road early Saturday night, the officers arrested Charles. Yauger on a charge of carrying concealed weapons, driving a car while Intoxicated and transporting liquor. Parnell was charged with driving whlltf intoxicated while Stark is alleged tr have had a jug of liquor in his possos* sion. They are also charged with transportation. Parnell did not have aoy driver's license, plates or tail light, according to the officers.Ed Gearhart was taken into custody charged with not having a driver's license.With this haul tlze ofdfcera called it a- day and repaired to Untontown, to start out again Sunday afternoon, when they raided the homo of Tony Ferone at Leith- Pcrone wag crarg-ed wil.h violating the liquor laws .and. pandering, a female inmate ot the house having made'i a rompleto com fession, according to'the officers, A quantity of alleged liquor waa confiscated there.- Later at' the hoxne of Tony Farrell of Leith, six gallons of alleged liquor were confiscated and Farrell and Tony Balsinger arrested on charges of violating the,liquor lawa- ■ The liquor was ready for sale having beenremoved from tin containers into .pint and quart bottles.The crusado against auto drivers being intoxicated was prompted by the recent large number of 1 manslaughter. cases which wore brought .to the attention of the District Attorney’s offlco due to reckless driving.
