LOCAL MAN’S CARRECOVERED AFTER EXCITING CHASERelatives Follow Fleeing Car from Manitowoc to Two Rivers; Five HeldFollowing -an exciting chase fromManitowoc to Two Rivfra Sunday aftemon an automobile owned by Karl Miller, 903 E. Alton-st, was recovered and five Green Bay youths, captured with the machine, are in juii here awaiting investigation of their stories.The machine was stolen Saturday night from a parking place on N. Appleton*st. The Millers had a dinner, engagement in Manitowoc Sunday and made the trip with another car. White their small daughter Olive and Mary Jane Hamilton, a playmate was playing at Manitowoc she recognized her father's car passing by.She gave the alarm and Mr. and Mrs. Guido Rahr and Miss. Helen Gray, a sister of Mrs. Miller, In one machine, and the Millers in a sec-and machine gave chase. The Rahrs. choosing a short cut, sighted the machine on the road to Two Rivers. They followed the speeding machine which at- times went 70 miles anhour.In Two Rivers the Rahrs overtook the fleeing car just as the five occupants stopped and attempted to escape. Police were called and the live were arrested. They claimed the machine had been given them by friends in Green Bay who permitted them to use it for a ride.Two of the five young men are on parole from the Green Bay reformatory. They are: James Good-ing, 20, 326 S. Clay-st, and Herman Reynan, IT, 1723 Doty-ave. Others held by police here are: John Goral, IS, and Alvin Goral, 17, 1330 E, Ma-son-st. and Lloyd Dennis, 13, 1426Elm-st-Police Chief George T. Prim said the boys will be held here until it had been decided what action will be take*}. If their claim that they received the machine from friends in Green Bay Is true then three of the youths will be turned over to Mani-lowoc-co officials for prosecution of charges of having stolerr property in their possession and the other two boys will be turned over to the state reformatory for violating their pa-i oles.
