Woodthe trial OF reed.The trial of Patrick H. Reed, as an ae-cG**ory in the same murder oamo up on Monday last, Capt. Grattan and Capt, Paul nppoaring for the Commonwealth,and L;ggett Liggett and W. B. Compton for the defence. The evidence was very nearly gotten through with on Monday, tho counsel for the defenco introducing no evidence. Capt. Paul, for the prosecution, and Liggett and Liggett for the defense, delivered speeches on Tuosday.Just as wo go to press tho jury bring iu a verdict clearing Reed.
