Steinbach man gets jail for sex assaults on young boysby Michelle LaBolle_A STEIN BACH man received a 14-month jail sentence in court in Steinbuch on Thursday, punishment for his repeated sexual assaults on several young boys at his home over an extended period.Dennis Hutt was also charged with possession of child pornography when he voluntarily turned himself in to authorities last December, he has been in custody ever since.•'A sexual assault involving children is completely reprehensible—something like this causes long-term problems in children's lives. Judge Marva Smith told court.Court has to fashion a sentence that will protect this community as much as possible.Judge Smith actually sentenced Hun to an additional six months of jail time, but it’counts as a 14-month sentence when his pre-sentence hearing custody is doubled. Immediately upon his release from Headinglcy. be will be on three years supervised probation.Given the chance to address the court.
