He was removed to Mont-evue hospital, where his condition was reported as not serious Sunday night.Sunday, county officials said, was in jail on a charge of passing bad checks held for the action of the nest grand jury. Saturday night, in some manner, h acquired an old razor blade and, around 8 o'clock, slashed himself about the lower part of the jaw. Other prisoners at the jail saw him lying in the cell and told Sheriff Charles W. Crum, who immediately summoned medical aid.After he had been bandaged. Sunday ‘old the sheriff he was haunted by the fear of serving time. although he had not, as yet, stood trial. He was later removed to Montevue hospital, where his condition was Teported as good Sunday night and it was stated that he would probably be returned to the jail today.
