They will probably' be tried next week, when Judge Casey will be here to assist Judge Phelps.The Henry county case brought alarge number of witnesses to town today, The case will occupy all the week.THE GRAND JURY.This afternoon the seven men whoconstitute the grand jury under the new law appeared in court and made the following final report:We have inquired into all cases presented before us, have found fifteen indictments and ignored six cases from committing magistrates; have examined and dismissed a number of other complaints; have listened to the testimony of ninety-nine witnesses: have visited the coun‘y jail and city prison and found them in reasonably good condition, and have concluded our labors for the present term. We also examined the docket of the police court of Burlington and found all fines accounted'for. Jons H. The local anthorities should pay some attention to the other gang of gamblers that is about town at present.
