Life Sentence For Slayer of Tahoe Co-edRENO (UPI)-A Washoe District Court jury early today found Michael Anselmo guilty | of the first degree murder of' Chico State coed Trudy Ann'; Hiler last July 15 at North Lake! Tahoe, iiIt sentenced Anselmo, 19. of Las Vegas, to life in prison without possibility of parole.Anselmo was convicted of Strangling and stabbing Miss Hiler, 22, whose nude body v/as found two days after the slaying by authorities acting on Anselmo’s instructions.Law enforcement officers testified Anselmo admitted killing Miss Hiler when bothwere under the influence of LSD a’nd she talked about dying.The defense, asserted these statements meant little since Anselmo had been without sleeip or food for long periods after the murder and during t-he questioning.NOW YOU KNOWBy United Press International By absorbing ultraviolet energy in tbe upper atmosphere, ozone protects life on earth from a lethal excess of shortwave radiation.Anselmo attempted to convince the court that JohnSoares, described as a neighbor of the defendant in Las Vegas, had showed him the body andtold him to keep quiet.
