St. Paul Banker.Chicago, April 26.—The capture ofJohn Dillinger. and his murderoushenchmen—believed only a matter ofhours by federal authorities-—may result in solution of the $200,000 abduction of Edward G. Bremer, St. Paul banker.Melvin H. Purvis, head of the localoffice of the United States bureau of investigation, Wednesday night said investigators believed that Alvin Karpis, Chicago, Arthur (Doc) Barker and his brother, Fred, were with Dillinger when lie shot his way to freedom at Mercer. Wis.The three have been identified by fingerprints as participants in the Bremer abduction on Jan. 17. The banker was freed on Feb. 7 after theransom payment.Arthur Barker and Karpis were on parole from the state penitentiary at McAlester, Okla.
