It will be remembered that the coroner’s jury which was summoned at the ’inquest held by Coroner MilThaiti on Febrnaiy 12 decided that Brucker was shot by his wife and that the shooting was justifiable. Brucker had no relatives rn this locality, excepting, his wife, or it is 'probable that a hearing would have been demanded before this, but utany protests have been jnpda ae-ft inst -the affair hpfne dron-.-W* ^ ^ped without a trial, with the result that a strict investigation of the shooting will be made. §,nd Mrs.±T%*Brucker and possibly otbeis 'will at once be axiested and given Inal.The residents- of the locality, in which the tragedy occmred are said to be considerably divided in opinion a poition of theni believing Brucker was of a brutal disposition, and being j under the influence of liquor would have killed his wife had she not shot him, while otheis allege that ~thc Kosanke family had threatened to kill him the next time he crossed the Dickey coimfcj line, and that they kept their word. - —There is probably sufficient evidence to warrant a t rial and many people will not he thoroughly satisfied until one takes* place.
