I do not exaggerate when I aay that there baa hardly been an Issue of the Star for tbo past six months, that haa not ohronioled the finding of one or more dead babies in the streets or I sewers. It is hardly to be wondered at that with such a social conglomeration as exists here, these things should he, bnt it ia a little singular that the nn- natural mothers and their abettors •bonld never be found ont.
