3 Given Another Chance by Symes«fJUROcJited Denver, April 23.—Throe men who turned to crime to feed their families, were freed on probation by District Judge Robert Steele today and given me proverbial second chance.Fred and Max KiHlts, brothers, who were arrested by police as they attempted’ to rob a restaurant, pleaded guilty and received suspended sentence of 3 to 5 years In the state penitentiary, “The defendants acted impulsively and it is shown they have never been in trouble before,111 the judge said. It is shown they were In desperate circumstances. They had been promised employment and it had been refused. Fred KUiitz lias a wife and two children who are without support in Ms absence and Max must care for tlieir aged parents.Tony Martinez, recently eovicted of grand larceny, was also granted probation.
