I I w ■ —---MASSANUTTEN SETTLERS MARKER SITE SELECTEDI(Special to Daily News Record) Luray, April 22.—The Massanutlci;^Society,- historical organization of this section preserving the memories of the pioneers in settling the Shenandoah Valley, have selected the site for erection of a marker commemorating the first permanent settlement of the Shenandoah Vaile.v, which took place on the hunks of the Shenandoah river in this county.The society, which has a membership of several hundred people in this, Rockingham and Shenandoah counties of Virginia and in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Pennsylvania, will hold its exercises early in June.
