Everything went along smoothly for a few days, and the young man was chuckling over his sharp practice in getting a week or two board at theexpeuse of Bar-tholomew county, when it became noised around that he hud shown considerable money.One mormug he got up and left his pocket book under the pillow. It was examined and over $20 found in it. When Judge Keyes heard of the sharp practice of Young lie called him;before him and gave him a lecture that he will not forget until his pompadoured red hair turns gray. He was told to settle his bill and take the consequences of swearing to an untrutii. He paid his board bill out of a ten dollar bill and got out of the town toga vohl an arrest on an Indictment by-the grand jury as soon as possible.22He came over here with Will Farley and'pnid his hack faro out of a ten dollar bill. He then departed on a fjtrain for Louisville,, where he said he had a position in a shoe house.JJHeJleft in such haste that a pnrtion of his wardrobe remained in the caarrlage of Mr. Farley.
