R.osmefberg succeeded in convincing Magistrate Kealy that he had not intentionally issued a check for $20 on the Bank of Montreal in which he had no funds. He was allowed his liberty on condition that he make good the otfeck.Ronneberg displayed a Canadian Bank of Commerce pass book showing a balance of $20.07. He claimed that he was under the impression that lie was writing a check on this bank when, as a matter of fact, the check was .on the Bank of Montreal.
